For the month of March, we want to focus on artworks from the gallery by highlighting our collection with an art sale event. Join us March 6 on First Friday from 5:30 – 9:00 PM for to celebrate with the Reuben Saunders Gallery.
This exhibition will feature a range of works from Prairie Print Makers, Associated American Artists, to some of our contemporary artists from the gallery collection.
Join us for our First Friday exhibition, It Takes Two : Couples Exhibition in February. This exhibition features artists making art together in Kansas. Maybe these artists actively collaborate on pieces, maybe they simply share their inspirations together, or perhaps they even share a studio.
It Takes Two features artists:
Barbara Waterman-Peters and Larry Peters
Tina Thomas and Dan Gegen
Trish and Bruce VanOsdel
Emily Chamberlain and Joseph Rincones
Susan Blackwood and Howard Friedland
We hope you can join us on February 7 from 5:30 – 9:00 PM for the opening reception. It Takes Two : Couples Exhibition closes February 29.
For our annual staff curated exhibition, we each picked five pieces of art from the gallery based on five categories: contemporary, traditional, print, estate, and 3D. Artwork featured ranges in medium, style, and era, which we hope offers not only an insight into each of us, but also each of the artists featured in this exhibition.
Our Favorite Things is on display until February 1st.
Join us for our December First Friday exhibition: In Living Color. This exhibition features artists working in a variety of mediums using color to bring their works to life in vibrant and exciting ways. In Living Color features artists: Aaron Jackson Bowman, Garet Reynek, James Borger, Kirsten Shannon, Matthew Hilyard, and Tim Stone.
We hope you can join us December 6 from 5:30 – 9:00 PM for the opening reception. In Living Color is open until December 28.
“LIGHTHOUSE” : A new solo exhibition featuring Josh Tripoli.
The show features a body of figurative work that’s been developed over the course of two years by Josh Tripoli. “LIGHTHOUSE” opens November 1st at the Reuben Saunders Gallery and runs through December 2nd.
The idea for “LIGHTHOUSE” originates in the Bible’s, “bodies are temples” verse (1 Corinthians 6:19), which found a creatively compelling analogue in the body as a lighthouse. Light as awareness, revealer, a benevolent, guiding beacon. House a seafarer’s haven, a return from the wonders and tumults of love, empathy, compassion, joy, envy, pride, violence, and fear. The relationship between keeper and voyager.
Join us for the opening of this show on November 1st for First Friday at the Reuben Saunders Gallery from 5:30 – 9:00 PM.
