DESCRIPTION:RSG is going to feature a new exhibition that is connected with the Wichita Art Museum! \nWe will display a range of prints created by contemporary artists from around the region here at RSG!\nThese fantastic works of art were created with traditional and modern printing techniques.  \nFeatured artists:\n•	Jean Gumpper\n•	Karen Kunc\n•	Leon Loughridge\n•       Mike Lyon\n•	Michelle Martin\n•	Walter Padgett\n•	& Mark Sisson \n—————————————\n“Then and Now: A Centennial Celebration of Block Prints in Wichita\, Kansas\, 1922-2022” will be on display at the Wichita Art Museum from Feb. 26th until Aug 7th! \nThe International Block Print Renaissance began in the last decades of the 19th century in Europe\, as artists and collectors rediscovered the block print medium. Beginning in 1922 with its annual print exhibitions\, Wichita\, Kansas\, played a major role in expanding this renaissance throughout America.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening of… \n“Keyword:” MFA Thesis Exhibition by Tim Stone. \nExhibition opens Friday\, April 1st 2022\, from 5:30pm – 9pm \nThe artwork on display will be large scale mixed media paintings that explore the current hybrid relationship between our physical and digital spaces!  \n“I replicate\, imitate\, and steal digital languages to express how confusing and lost it can be to operate in a world that is both super connected and isolating\, mediated through a screen. The algorithmic ways of processing information through coding and keywords seems rather abstract to me\, even unintentional or misunderstood.  \nMy work sutures digital efficiency and painterly inefficiency through physical marks and colors that are rambunctious\, fiery\, and ambiguous in their affect. There is tension between the ordinary and the superlative\, and between what is natural and artificial.
