Mary Binford Miller
Mary Binford Miller is an award-winning Kansas neoregionalist painter whose work celebrates the people, animals, flowers, and landscapes of the Midwest. Raised in Hutchinson and Liberal, Kansas, she earned her BS and BFA from Kansas State University and spent seventeen years as a fashion illustrator and designer before devoting herself to fine art. She taught painting for eighteen years at MarkArts, Wichita’s center for visual arts, before recently taking a sabbatical to paint full time.
Mary currently lives outside El Dorado, Kansas on the western edge of the Flint Hills, where she paints in a contemporary regionalist tradition inspired by ranch life, rural landscapes, flowers, and the people who work the land of the Midwest. She is represented by Reuben Saunders Gallery.
