Grant Wood

(February 13, 1891 – February 12, 1942)   Grant Wood is one of America’s most famous artists. His painting, American Gothic, is one of the world’s most well-known paintings and a seminal work from the Regionalist art movement of which he commonly associated. Alongside Thomas Hart Benton and John Steuart Curry, Grant Wood produced many paintings and lithographs depicting rural and small town America.
