Dan Chaffee has spent most of his life producing two and three dimensional works that depict his sustained interests: Storms, figures, landscapes and interiors. He works from life, memory, or imagination, occasionally from photographs and much of it takes months to years to complete.
In 1984 Chaffee moved from his native California to the Midwest largely to study severe storms so he could paint and draw them with great authenticity.
